Job Description
The View Kalgoorlie Hotel is seeking a meticulous and reliable Laundry Sorter to join our vibrant Hotel Services team. This entry-level position is crucial to our daily operations, ensuring all hotel linen, towels, and guest garments are processed efficiently and to the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation. You will be responsible for the initial sorting of incoming laundry, preparing it for washing, and identifying any items requiring special attention or repair. Key Responsibilities
- Receive, sort, and categorise all incoming soiled laundry, including linens, towels, and staff uniforms.
- Inspect items for damage, stains, or foreign objects before processing.
- Load and unload commercial washing machines and dryers according to established procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the laundry room and surrounding work areas.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and hotel policies.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or significant issues to the supervisor.
- Assist with other laundry duties as required to ensure smooth operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

- Basic English literacy and communication skills to understand instructions.
