Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Chiropractic Clinic Assistant to join our team in Lansing, Michigan. This vital role focuses on managing the front desk operations and ensuring a smooth, efficient patient flow throughout the clinic. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service, handling administrative tasks, and assisting our chiropractors as needed. Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and manage check-ins and check-outs
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, managing the clinic's appointment book efficiently
- Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and manage general clinic inquiries
- Process patient payments, manage billing inquiries, and maintain accurate financial records
- Maintain patient files and ensure confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Prepare treatment rooms before and after patient visits, ensuring cleanliness and organization
- Assist chiropractors with patient intake, documentation, and various treatment support tasks as directed
- Educate patients on chiropractic care and wellness programs offered by the clinic
- Manage inventory of office supplies and patient educational materials
- Ensure the waiting area and front office are tidy and presentable at all times
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a front desk, administrative, or customer service role, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace)
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- High level of professionalism and discretion, especially regarding patient information
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with chiropractic or medical office software (e.g., ChiroFusion, Practice Fusion)
- Knowledge of medical billing and insurance verification processes
- Understanding of chiropractic principles and wellness practices
- A background in patient care or health-related fields
