Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our Litter Collection Crew, contributing to the upkeep and cleanliness of public areas across Morwell. This entry-level position is perfect for those who enjoy working outdoors, are physically active, and take pride in their community. No prior experience is required as full training will be provided to successful candidates. You will be an integral part of our Council Maintenance team, ensuring our streets, parks, and community spaces remain pristine and welcoming for residents and visitors alike.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and dispose of litter, rubbish, and debris from public spaces, parks, streets, and footpaths.
  • Operate basic hand tools and small machinery safely and efficiently for waste collection.
  • Empty public waste bins and transport collected materials to designated disposal points.
  • Report any larger waste items, hazards, or maintenance issues observed in public areas.
  • Maintain cleanliness and good working order of assigned equipment and vehicles.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and Council policies.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to achieve daily collection targets.
