This is an incredible entry-level opportunity designed for those eager to start a career in care, offering full, comprehensive training and comfortable accommodation within the client’s home. You will provide essential care and companionship, helping clients maintain independence and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance
- Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation
- Administer medication reminders and assist with appointments
- Offer companionship and engage clients in stimulating activities
- Ensure a safe and comfortable living environment for the client
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and BrightStar Care staff
- Document care provided and report any changes in client's condition
Required Skills
- A genuine desire to help others and make a positive impact
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Reliable and responsible work ethic
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to new environments and learn quickly
- Must be eligible to work in the USA
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation (beneficial but not always required for live-in roles depending on client needs)
- First Aid and CPR certification (training can be provided)
