Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and physically capable Livestock Feed Mixer to join our team in Cleveland, Ohio. This vital role involves the precise mixing of feed ingredients according to established formulas, ensuring the nutritional integrity and safety of our products. As a Livestock Feed Mixer, you will operate various mixing equipment, handle raw materials, and perform general farm labor tasks, including significant heavy lifting. Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain feed mixing equipment, including grinders, mixers, and conveyors.
  • Accurately weigh and combine various feed ingredients (grains, supplements, vitamins, minerals) according to precise formulations.
  • Load and unload raw materials and finished feed products, requiring frequent heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs regularly, occasionally more).
  • Monitor feed consistency and quality throughout the mixing process.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including regular cleaning of machinery and work areas.
  • Perform general farm labor tasks as assigned, such as sweeping, shoveling, and basic equipment maintenance.
  • Follow all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Accurately record production data, ingredient usage, and other relevant information.

Required Skills

  • Ability to consistently lift and move heavy bags (up to 50 lbs) and other materials.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions and formulas.
  • Basic mathematical skills for weighing and measuring ingredients.
  • Reliability and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to all workplace regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a farm, agricultural, manufacturing, or labor-intensive environment.
  • Experience operating forklifts or other heavy machinery (certification a plus).
  • Familiarity with animal feed ingredients or nutrition.
