Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Machinery Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance operations at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Garland, TX. This critical role involves leading a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of all plant machinery, and implementing robust preventive maintenance programs. The successful candidate will be instrumental in minimizing downtime, improving operational efficiency, and upholding the highest safety standards. Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring efficient work execution and professional development.
- Develop, implement, and manage preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for all manufacturing equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on various production machinery.
- Coordinate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities, minimizing disruption to operations.
- Ensure all maintenance tasks are completed safely and in compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and industry standards.
- Manage spare parts inventory, procure necessary components, and control maintenance expenditures.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, analyze equipment performance data, and implement corrective actions for continuous improvement.
- Participate in the planning and execution of equipment upgrades, installations, and facility modifications.
- Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance staff on new equipment and best practices.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in industrial machinery maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong technical proficiency in mechanical, electrical (up to 480V), pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Solid understanding of safety protocols and regulations (e.g., LOTO, confined space, hot work).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Certifications in specific machinery, automation, or maintenance technologies (e.g., PLC programming, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt).
- Experience in the food and beverage manufacturing industry.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance for food processing equipment.
