Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and enthusiastic Marine Labourer to join our growing team at our Mount Barker facility. This role involves assisting skilled tradespeople with various tasks related to boat yard operations, including cleaning, sanding, painting preparation, general maintenance, and material handling for a diverse range of marine vessels designed for coastal use. No direct marine experience is necessary as comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in the marine industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of boat surfaces for painting, anti-fouling, and repairs (sanding, cleaning, masking).
- Support tradespeople with general boat maintenance tasks.
- Handle and move materials, tools, and equipment safely around the boat yard.
- Perform general workshop clean-up and organisation duties.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of marine vessels and components.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Learn and apply new skills related to marine fabrication and repair.
