Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Remedial Massage Therapist to join our dynamic team in Mount Gambier. This full-time, clinic-based position offers an excellent opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary health setting, providing exceptional remedial massage services to a diverse client base. You will play a crucial role in patient rehabilitation, pain management, and overall wellness, collaborating with other allied health professionals to achieve optimal outcomes. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive client assessments to identify musculoskeletal conditions and formulate individualized treatment plans.
  • Perform a variety of remedial massage techniques, including deep tissue, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, and PNF stretching.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address pain, improve mobility, and promote recovery.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including treatment notes and progress reports.
  • Educate clients on postural awareness, self-care strategies, and home exercises to support long-term wellness.
  • Collaborate effectively with physiotherapists, osteopaths, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated client care.
  • Adhere to professional standards, ethical guidelines, and clinic policies and procedures.

Required Skills

  • Diploma of Remedial Massage (HLT52015 or equivalent).
  • Current professional indemnity and public liability insurance.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Eligible for provider registration with major health funds.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess, treat, and manage a diverse range of musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Membership with a recognized professional association (e.g., ANTA, AMT, AAMT).
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary clinic setting.
  • Additional certifications in dry needling, cupping, or specific manual therapies.
  • Proficiency with clinical management software (e.g., Cliniko, Coreplus).
