Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join our dynamic faculty at Pinecliffe High School. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire young minds and contribute to our school’s excellent academic standards. We welcome applications from both experienced teachers and newly qualified teachers (NQTs) who are committed to delivering high-quality mathematics education across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially 5. Full relocation support and Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) will be provided for successful international candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective mathematics lessons to high school students (ages 11-18).
- Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
- Create a positive and stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the mathematics curriculum.
- Participate in departmental meetings, school events, and professional development opportunities.
- Provide pastoral care and guidance to students, fostering their personal and social development.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and well-being.
Required Skills
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognized teaching qualification.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics or a related subject.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for Mathematics (KS3, KS4, and ideally KS5).
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- A genuine passion for mathematics and a commitment to inspiring students.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching A-Level Mathematics.
- Familiarity with various teaching methodologies and educational technologies.
- Experience with pastoral responsibilities or form tutoring.
- Proven track record of improving student outcomes.
