Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Millwright / Industrial Mechanic to join our dynamic team in Seattle. This role is essential for maintaining the operational integrity of our advanced manufacturing and facility systems. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial machinery, equipment, and mechanical systems. Key Responsibilities

  • Install, align, dismantle, and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings.
  • Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks, and tractors to position machinery and parts during the installation, setup, and repair of machinery.
  • Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical failures, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems, gearboxes, pumps, and conveyors.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Fabricate parts, apply welding, and use various machine tools to repair or modify mechanical components.
  • Read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Millwright or Industrial Mechanic
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Ability to work with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators)
  • Basic welding and fabrication skills
  • Commitment to safety protocols and procedures
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Apprenticeship completion or trade certification as a Millwright or Industrial Mechanic
  • Experience in heavy manufacturing or automotive industry settings
  • Knowledge of predictive maintenance technologies (e.g., vibration analysis)
  • Familiarity with CNC machinery maintenance
  • Experience with rigging and heavy equipment operation
