Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Music Licensing & Publishing Intern to join our dynamic team in Camden Town. This is an unparalleled opportunity for an enthusiastic individual looking to gain hands-on experience in the music industry, specifically within the crucial areas of music licensing and publishing. You will work closely with experienced professionals, learning the intricacies of clearing music for various uses, managing copyrights, and understanding royalty streams. No prior experience is required; we are looking for potential and a genuine interest in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the licensing team with administrative tasks, including data entry and filing.
- Support the publishing department in tracking and cataloging musical works.
- Conduct research on copyright ownership and licensing precedents.
- Help prepare licensing agreements and related documentation.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for process improvements.
- Learn about different types of music licenses (sync, mechanical, public performance, master use).
- Assist with royalty statement reconciliation and analysis as needed.
Required Skills
- Strong interest in the music industry, particularly music publishing and licensing.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
