Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Night Manager to oversee all hotel operations during the overnight shift. This pivotal role involves ensuring guest satisfaction, managing the night audit, supervising front desk and security staff, and handling any unforeseen issues that may arise. The Night Manager is crucial for maintaining the hotel’s high standards of service and safety throughout the night. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all hotel operations during the overnight shift (typically 11 PM – 7 AM)
  • Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and handling special requests promptly and professionally
  • Supervise and support night audit, front desk, and security personnel
  • Conduct the night audit process, including balancing daily transactions and preparing reports for management
  • Monitor and maintain the safety and security of guests and hotel property
  • Respond to and resolve any emergencies or critical incidents that occur during the shift
  • Conduct regular hotel walk-throughs to ensure cleanliness, safety, and operational standards are met
  • Manage guest check-ins and check-outs, reservations, and room assignments
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate shift activities effectively to incoming management
  • Train and mentor night staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment
  • Implement and uphold all hotel policies and procedures

Required Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in hotel front office or supervisory role
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Proficiency in hotel management software (PMS) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Knowledge of hotel security and safety procedures
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field
  • Experience with OnQ Property Management System
  • Multilingual abilities (especially Spanish)
  • First Aid and CPR certification
  • Previous experience as a Night Auditor
