Job Description
Wilson Security is seeking dedicated and reliable individuals to join our team as Night Shift Guards in Esperance. This part-time role involves securing various premises, ensuring the safety of assets and personnel during night hours. You will be responsible for conducting regular patrols, monitoring surveillance systems, and responding to incidents according to established protocols. We are looking for vigilant candidates who possess strong observational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a secure environment. Comprehensive training will be provided to ensure you are fully equipped for success in this vital role.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols of assigned premises during night shifts.
- Monitor CCTV systems, alarms, and other security equipment for suspicious activity.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to alarms, security breaches, and emergency situations.
- Enforce site rules and regulations, ensuring compliance by all individuals on site.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and prepare detailed incident reports.
- Provide a visible security presence to deter unauthorized access and criminal activity.
- Liaise with emergency services and management when required.
Required Skills
- Possession of a valid Western Australian Security Guard Licence.
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
- Reliable transport for night shifts.
- Basic computer literacy for report writing and system monitoring.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a security or similar protective services role (even if less than 6 months).
- Experience with security software and monitoring systems.
- Familiarity with local Esperance area.
