Job Description
Gartner is seeking a talented and passionate Node.js Developer to join our dynamic engineering team in Stamford, CT. This role is crucial for developing and maintaining high-performance, scalable backend services that power our industry-leading research and advisory platforms. You will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and deploying robust solutions that drive business value and enhance user experience. We are proud to support the Skilled Worker Route for eligible international candidates who are looking to make a significant impact with their expertise. This is an on-site position based in our Stamford, Connecticut office.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy robust and scalable Node.js applications and APIs.
- Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other engineers to define, design, and ship new features.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and knowledge sharing.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and decisions.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript (ES6+)
- Experience with backend frameworks such as Express.js or NestJS
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Knowledge of version control systems (Git)
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in Node.js development
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) is a plus
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
