Job Description
We are urgently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Oncology Registered Nurse to join our leading cancer care team in Scottsdale. This is a critical role focusing on delivering high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to individuals undergoing cancer treatment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in patient education, symptom management, and emotional support, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes. We are excited to offer Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) for eligible international candidates and are looking for someone who can start immediately to make an impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to oncology patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other oncology treatments safely and according to protocol.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions and complications, intervening appropriately.
- Educate patients and their families about diagnosis, treatment plans, side effects, and self-care strategies.
- Manage patient symptoms effectively, providing pain management and supportive care.
- Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records.
- Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Required Skills
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona or eligibility for endorsement.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in oncology nursing.
- BLS certification required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of chemotherapy administration and side effect management.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, emotionally challenging environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) certification.
- ACLS certification.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems, particularly Epic.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
