Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Penetration Tester / Ethical Hacker to join our dynamic cybersecurity team in Woking, Surrey. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive penetration tests on web applications, networks, infrastructure, and cloud environments.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and security audits to identify weaknesses and compliance gaps.
- Develop detailed reports outlining findings, risks, and recommendations for remediation.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to implement security best practices and fixes.
- Stay updated on the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and exploitation techniques.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our testing methodologies and tools.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members when required.
- Participate in client meetings to present findings and discuss security strategies.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in conducting web application and network penetration testing.
- Strong understanding of common attack vectors and defense strategies.
- Proficiency with industry-standard penetration testing tools (e.g., Burp Suite, Nmap, Metasploit, Nessus).
- Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., OWASP Top 10, NIST, ISO 27001).
- Solid scripting skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant security certifications (e.g., OSCP, CEH, CREST, GPEN).
- Experience with cloud security assessments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of mobile application penetration testing.
- Experience with red teaming or adversary emulation.
- Master's degree in a cybersecurity-related discipline.
