Job Description
Are you looking for an exciting entry-level opportunity where you can make a real difference? Smith’s Food & Drug is seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Personal Shoppers / Order Pickers. In this fast-paced role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting groceries and other items for our online customers, ensuring their orders are perfect and ready for pickup or delivery. No prior experience is required – we provide comprehensive training to help you succeed! Key Responsibilities
- Accurately and efficiently select grocery items from store shelves based on customer online orders.
- Ensure product freshness, quality, and proper temperature for perishable items.
- Communicate with customers or team leads regarding out-of-stock items or substitutions.
- Organize and stage completed orders for pickup or delivery in designated areas.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Provide friendly and helpful service to customers when necessary.
Required Skills
- Ability to read and understand order lists accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25-50 pounds regularly.
- Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
- Basic communication skills.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment (not required, but a plus).
- Familiarity with grocery products and store layout.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
