Job Description
Are you energetic, detail-oriented, and looking to kickstart your career in a dynamic retail environment? Metro Inc. is hiring enthusiastic Personal Shoppers/Order Pickers to join our Brossard team! This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity for individuals with no prior experience. We provide comprehensive training to ensure you succeed in this fast-paced role. You will be responsible for accurately selecting groceries and household items for our online customers, ensuring orders are fresh, correct, and ready for pickup or delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and pack customer online grocery orders according to specified quality and freshness standards.
- Navigate store aisles efficiently to locate products quickly.
- Ensure product quality, checking expiration dates and condition of items.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding product availability or order discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Assist with other store duties as needed, including stocking shelves or customer service.
Required Skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry items (up to 20 kg) for extended periods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Must be 16 years of age or older.
- No prior experience required – full training provided.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of fresh produce and grocery items.
- Comfortable using handheld scanning devices.
- Previous experience in a customer service role is a plus, but not required.
