Are you passionate about animal welfare and looking for a role where you can make a real difference behind the scenes? Pets at Home in Tamworth is seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team as a Pet Store Cage Cleaner. This essential role ensures our animal habitats are spotlessly clean, hygienic, and comfortable for all our pets, contributing directly to their health and well-being. No prior experience is required as full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning and sanitization of animal enclosures, tanks, and cages according to strict hygiene protocols.
- Change bedding, replenish water, and ensure food areas are clean and tidy.
- Handle and dispose of animal waste safely and efficiently.
- Monitor animal habitats for any signs of damage or issues that could affect animal welfare.
- Maintain cleanliness of the animal care areas, including storage rooms and cleaning stations.
- Report any concerns regarding animal health or enclosure integrity to management promptly.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment.
- Support the wider store team by maintaining a clean and safe environment for pets and colleagues.
