Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Pharmacist to join our team in Bolton. This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality pharmaceutical care, provide expert health advice, and contribute to the well-being of our community. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and accurate dispensing of medicines, managing pharmacy operations, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. You will play a crucial role in building lasting relationships with our customers, offering compassionate and professional service.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately and safely dispense prescriptions, ensuring patient safety and adherence to legal requirements.
- Provide expert advice on medicines, health conditions, and lifestyle choices to customers.
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy, including stock control and regulatory compliance.
- Supervise and support pharmacy support staff and trainees, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Conduct professional services such as vaccinations, health checks, and minor ailment schemes.
- Maintain up-to-date professional knowledge and participate in continuous professional development.
- Engage with local healthcare providers and participate in community health initiatives.
- Ensure all professional and ethical standards are met and maintained.
Required Skills
- Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of pharmaceutical practice
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to patient care and customer service
- Ability to manage and prioritise workload efficiently
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a community pharmacy setting
- Independent Prescriber qualification
- Experience with pharmacy management software systems
- Additional certifications in specialized clinical areas
