Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform venipuncture for plasma collection following established protocols and safety guidelines.
  • Monitor donors throughout the donation process, ensuring their comfort and responding to any adverse reactions.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed donor records, including eligibility screening and donation information.
  • Prepare and process plasma units for shipment according to regulatory standards.
  • Clean and sterilize equipment and maintain a sterile work environment.
  • Provide excellent customer service to donors, answering questions and ensuring a positive experience.
  • Adhere to all local, provincial, and national health and safety regulations.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to learn and apply sterile techniques and venipuncture procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Compassionate and patient-focused approach.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a healthcare or customer service setting (not required, but a plus).
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
