Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Engage with members of the public to build trust and address local concerns.
- Patrol assigned areas, providing a visible and reassuring police presence.
- Respond to calls for service, supporting police officers with minor incidents and administrative tasks.
- Gather information and intelligence to assist with crime prevention and detection.
- Provide crime prevention advice and support to individuals and businesses.
- Attend community meetings and events to foster positive relationships.
- Issue fixed penalty notices for minor offenses such as littering or anti-social behaviour.
- Support victims of crime and vulnerable individuals.
- Record incidents and actions accurately, maintaining detailed logs.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A strong commitment to public service and community safety.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good problem-solving skills and a calm demeanor under pressure.
- Basic IT literacy.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and fitness assessment.
- Must be 18 years of age or older and a British citizen, an EU/EEA national, or a Commonwealth citizen or foreign national with no restrictions on your stay in the UK.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service or community-facing role.
- Knowledge of the local area and community issues.
- Fluency in additional languages relevant to London's diverse communities.
