Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Political Campaign Intern to join our grassroots organizing team in North Cowichan. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in political campaigning, community outreach, and grassroots mobilization. The ideal candidate is passionate about local politics, eager to learn, and committed to making a tangible impact in our community. This is an entry-level position perfect for students or individuals looking to start a career in public service, advocacy, or political organizing. Full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with direct voter contact efforts, including phone banking, canvassing, and door-to-door outreach.
  • Support the organization of local community events, town halls, and volunteer meetings.
  • Help recruit, train, and manage campaign volunteers.
  • Maintain accurate voter and volunteer databases.
  • Conduct basic research on local issues and demographics.
  • Assist in developing and distributing campaign materials.
  • Support social media outreach and online engagement efforts.
  • Perform general administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the campaign office.
  • Represent the campaign respectfully and professionally in public interactions.

  • Access to reliable transportation.
