Job Description

As a Drivers Mate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and safe delivery of goods, working alongside our experienced drivers. Key Responsibilities
- Assist drivers with the safe and efficient loading and unloading of various goods.
- Carefully move products from the delivery vehicle to designated customer locations.
- Verify the accuracy of delivered items against delivery manifests and customer orders.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing DHL Supply Chain professionally.
- Communicate effectively with drivers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, company policies, and transportation regulations.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle's cargo area.
- Support the driver in navigating routes and planning the most efficient delivery sequence.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or customer feedback promptly to the appropriate personnel.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy items regularly (up to 50 lbs) throughout the workday.
- Strong physical stamina and endurance for a demanding role.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate deliveries.
- Willingness to work early morning shifts.
- Basic literacy to read delivery manifests.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a physically demanding role or warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with the Cincinnati metropolitan area and surrounding regions.
- A positive attitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
