Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Primary / Elementary School Teachers to join our vibrant team in Edmonton. This is a fantastic opportunity for qualified educators, including international candidates, to contribute to a student-centered learning environment. As a Primary / Elementary School Teacher, you will be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans, fostering a positive classroom atmosphere, and guiding young learners through their foundational educational journey. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and educational activities for primary/elementary students.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to enhance student learning and well-being.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively and promote positive social interactions.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and school-wide initiatives.
- Maintain accurate student records and communicate student progress to parents.
Required Skills
- Bachelor of Education degree or equivalent qualification.
- Valid teaching certification/license (or eligibility to obtain one in Alberta).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong classroom management abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in integrating technology into the classroom.
- Demonstrated passion for teaching young children.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Education or a related field.
- Experience teaching in a multicultural or international setting.
- Proficiency in a second language.
- Experience with Alberta curriculum frameworks.
