Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Pub Counter Hand to join our dedicated team at The Union Club Hotel. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy a lively, casual work environment and have a passion for providing excellent customer service. As a Pub Counter Hand, you will be crucial in ensuring our guests have an enjoyable experience, handling food and drink orders, and contributing to the overall friendly atmosphere of our establishment. Comprehensive training will be provided, making this an ideal opportunity for those new to the hospitality industry or looking to refresh their skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet and assist customers with food and beverage orders.
  • Accurately operate point-of-sale (POS) systems and handle cash and card transactions.
  • Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks responsibly and in compliance with RSA regulations.
  • Assist with food preparation and presentation, ensuring timely delivery to tables.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and tidy bar and dining area.
  • Restock fridges, shelves, and other supplies as needed.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve minor issues with a professional and friendly demeanor.
  • Collaborate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service operations.
