Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Reach Truck Driver to join our dynamic team in Didcot. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating reach trucks to move, stack, and retrieve materials and products within our busy warehouse environment. You will play a key part in ensuring the smooth flow of goods, maintaining inventory accuracy, and contributing to a safe and productive workplace. Key Responsibilities
- Operate a reach truck safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve products and materials.
- Load and unload lorries, ensuring accurate documentation and proper handling of goods.
- Perform daily safety checks on equipment and report any faults or maintenance issues.
- Assist with inventory management, including stock counts and reconciliation.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Work collaboratively with warehouse staff to meet operational targets and deadlines.
- Participate in training and development programs as required.
Required Skills
- Valid Reach Truck licence (e.g., RTITB, ITSSAR accredited).
- Proven experience operating a reach truck in a warehouse or logistics setting (minimum 1 year).
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and practices.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail.
- Physical fitness appropriate for warehouse work, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Forklift (Counterbalance) licence in addition to Reach Truck.
- Previous experience in a fast-paced logistics or distribution environment.
- Basic computer literacy for data entry and reporting.
