Job Description
We are actively seeking motivated and safety-conscious individuals to join our team as a Recycling Plant Quality Sorter. This is an immediate hire, full-time position located in Buffalo, NY. No prior experience is required, as comprehensive training will be provided. You will play a crucial role in our material recovery facility, ensuring the quality and purity of recycled materials. All necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided to ensure your safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Manually sort various recyclable materials, including paper, plastics, glass, and metals, on a conveyor belt.
- Identify and remove non-recyclable items and contaminants from the waste stream.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout your shift.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the consistent use of provided PPE.
- Perform quality control checks on sorted materials to meet purity standards.
- Assist with other general labor tasks in the recycling plant as needed.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors immediately.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, industrial environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Capable of performing repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds regularly.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or production setting (not required, but a plus).
- Basic understanding of different recyclable materials.
