Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Regional Director to lead our operations across the Sussex region, based out of our Chichester hub. This pivotal role requires a strategic leader who can drive performance, foster a customer-centric culture, and ensure operational excellence across multiple branches or business units within the specified region. The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving regional targets, developing high-performing teams, and implementing group strategies effectively. You will be a key interface between national leadership and local execution, shaping the future success of our presence in Sussex.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a regional strategy aligned with national business objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of branch managers and staff, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor regional performance against key metrics, identifying areas for growth and improvement, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, local communities, and internal departments.
  • Manage regional budgets, resources, and operational costs efficiently.
  • Drive customer satisfaction and loyalty through exceptional service delivery.
  • Identify new business opportunities and market trends within the region.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership or regional management role within financial services or a related industry.
  • Demonstrable track record of achieving and exceeding business targets.
  • Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate diverse teams.
  • Strong strategic thinking and business acumen.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and budget management.
  • Deep understanding of regulatory requirements within the financial sector.
  • Full UK driving license and willingness to travel extensively within the region.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional qualifications relevant to financial services.
  • Experience with large-scale organizational change management.
  • Existing network within the Sussex business community.
