Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Remote Building Permit Processor to join our dynamic local government team. This is a 100% remote position, offering you the flexibility to work from anywhere while contributing to the vital services of our municipality. As a Building Permit Processor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and compliant development within our community by efficiently managing and processing building permit applications. Key Responsibilities

  • Review building permit applications for completeness and accuracy according to municipal bylaws and provincial regulations.
  • Enter and update permit application data into specialized software systems.
  • Communicate effectively with applicants, contractors, and internal departments to resolve discrepancies and provide status updates.
  • Coordinate with building inspectors and planners to facilitate the permit review process.
  • Maintain accurate digital and physical records of all permit-related documentation.
  • Assist with general administrative tasks related to building services.
  • Respond to inquiries via phone and email regarding permit requirements and processes.
