Job Description
Are you looking for a rewarding career protecting public integrity? Service Canada is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Remote Fraud Investigator Trainees. This is an exceptional entry-level opportunity for individuals with no prior experience in fraud investigation. We provide comprehensive, paid training to equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary to identify, investigate, and prevent fraudulent activities against government programs and services. Key Responsibilities
- Complete all required training modules and certifications related to fraud investigation techniques, policies, and procedures.
- Assist senior investigators in gathering and analyzing information from various sources to identify potential indicators of fraud.
- Learn to prepare detailed reports and documentation of investigation findings under supervision.
- Communicate effectively with team members and, as training progresses, with relevant stakeholders while adhering to strict confidentiality guidelines.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in fraud detection and prevention.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment dedicated to upholding public trust and security.
- Utilize standard office software and specialized investigative tools as instructed.
Required Skills

- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).

- Ability to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Criminology, Law Enforcement, Business Administration, or a related field (not mandatory but an asset).
- Previous experience in customer service or administrative roles requiring attention to detail.
- Bilingualism (English and French) is considered a strong asset.
