Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Remote Inventory Analyst with a focus on Retail Tech Support to join our innovative team. This critical role involves analyzing inventory data, optimizing stock levels across our retail network, and providing technical support for inventory management systems. You will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our inventory operations, directly impacting product availability and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of inventory data to identify trends, forecast demand, and recommend stock level adjustments.
- Monitor inventory performance metrics, including stock turnover, out-of-stock rates, and excess inventory.
- Provide front-line technical support for inventory management software and related retail systems, troubleshooting issues for store teams and supply chain partners.
- Collaborate with supply chain, merchandising, and store operations teams to implement inventory optimization strategies.
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to visualize key inventory insights and support decision-making.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within inventory management and technical support workflows.
- Participate in testing and deployment of new inventory system features or updates.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy across all inventory systems and reports.
Required Skills
- Proven analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities, particularly in a technical support context.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, advanced formulas).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and data integrity.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, custom ERPs).
- Familiarity with retail operations and supply chain processes.
- Basic understanding of SQL or other database query languages.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
