Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Remote IT Outage Dispatcher to join our dynamic team. This is a critical role responsible for monitoring IT systems, identifying service outages, and efficiently dispatching technical teams to resolve issues. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-paced environment, can manage multiple urgent tasks simultaneously, and is comfortable with shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays. This position is 100% remote, offering flexibility while demanding stringent performance and availability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor IT infrastructure and applications for service interruptions and performance degradation using various tools.
  • Accurately identify, categorize, and prioritize incoming outage alerts and user-reported incidents.
  • Swiftly dispatch appropriate technical teams (e.g., network engineers, system administrators, field technicians) based on incident type and severity.
  • Maintain clear and constant communication with affected stakeholders, technical teams, and management throughout the outage lifecycle.
  • Log all incident details, actions taken, and resolutions in the incident management system.
  • Follow established protocols for incident escalation and communication.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of dispatch processes and documentation.
  • Perform post-incident reviews to identify areas for improvement and preventive measures.
  • Adhere to shift schedules and be available for on-call duties as required.

Required Skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with computers and basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a call center, customer service, or dispatching role.

  • Basic understanding of IT infrastructure components (networks, servers, applications).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical alerts and dashboards.
  • Experience with shift work or non-standard hours.
