Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote Technical Writer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating clear, concise, and comprehensive manuals, guides, and other documentation for our cutting-edge hardware and software products. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home office while collaborating with teams across various time zones. Your work will directly impact our users’ ability to understand and effectively utilize our advanced technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, API documentation, and online help content.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and quality assurance teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation.
- Translate complex technical information into easily understandable language for a diverse audience.
- Manage documentation projects from inception to delivery, adhering to project timelines and standards.
- Conduct thorough reviews of existing documentation for clarity, consistency, and adherence to company style guides.
- Incorporate feedback from internal stakeholders and external users to continuously improve documentation.
- Contribute to the development and evolution of documentation standards, templates, and best practices.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in technical writing, preferably within a technology or software development environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
- Proficiency with documentation tools (e.g., Confluence, Zendesk, MadCap Flare, DITA).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a remote setting.
- Familiarity with style guides and documentation best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, English, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with spatial computing, augmented reality, or virtual reality technologies.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Knowledge of graphic design principles for effective document layout.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
