Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as a Residential Care Worker for the Night Shift. This is a unique opportunity for those looking to start a rewarding career in healthcare, as full training will be provided. As a Residential Care Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of our residents during the overnight hours. You will support residents with their daily routines, provide emotional support, and maintain a safe and nurturing environment. Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring residents throughout the night to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Assisting residents with personal care tasks as needed, while respecting their dignity and privacy.
- Documenting observations, incidents, and resident activities accurately and promptly.
- Responding to resident calls and emergencies in a calm and efficient manner.
- Implementing individual care plans under the guidance of healthcare professionals.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and therapeutic living environment.
- Engaging with residents in a respectful and supportive manner.
- Adhering to all facility policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Genuine compassion and empathy for others.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team during the night shift.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and sound judgment.
- Exceptional reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Physical ability to assist residents as needed and perform light housekeeping duties.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (training can be provided if needed).
- Previous experience, formal or informal, in a caregiving or support role.
- A valid driver's license.
