Job Description

Marks & Spencer is seeking an enthusiastic and creative individual to join our Visual Merchandising team as a Retail Mannequin Dresser (Trainee). This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity for someone eager to learn the art of visual display and contribute to creating inspiring retail environments. No prior experience is required, as full training will be provided to help you develop the skills needed to excel in this exciting role. You will learn how to bring our clothing collections to life through captivating mannequin styling, ensuring our stores look their best and attract customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the visual merchandising team in preparing and dressing mannequins according to brand guidelines and seasonal themes.
- Learn to interpret visual merchandising directives to create engaging displays.
- Maintain the pristine condition and presentation of mannequins and display props.
- Support the team with general visual merchandising tasks, including stock replenishment for displays and maintaining cleanliness of display areas.
- Assist in setting up promotional displays and store events.
- Ensure all displays reflect the latest trends and product offerings.
Required Skills
- Strong interest in fashion and visual merchandising.
- Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Enthusiastic and eager to learn new skills.
- Good physical stamina for standing, lifting, and moving mannequins and display elements.
- Reliable and punctual.
Preferred Qualifications
- A creative mindset with a passion for retail.
- Basic understanding of current fashion trends.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role (not essential, but a plus for general retail awareness).
