Job Description
Join Siemens Gamesa as a Robotics & Automation Intern within our Research & Development Department. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for aspiring engineers and technologists to gain hands-on experience with advanced robotics and automation systems in a leading renewable energy company. You will work alongside experienced engineers, contributing to projects that enhance efficiency, safety, and innovation in our manufacturing and operational processes. This internship is designed to provide comprehensive learning and practical application in a dynamic industrial setting, requiring no prior professional experience but a strong eagerness to learn and contribute.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, development, and testing of robotic and automation solutions for various industrial applications.
- Support senior engineers in conducting research and experiments related to new automation technologies.
- Help with data collection, analysis, and reporting on system performance and project outcomes.
- Contribute to the documentation of technical specifications, operating procedures, and project progress.
- Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and project reviews.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards in all R&D activities.
- Calibrate and maintain robotic equipment under supervision.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Robotics, Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Basic understanding of engineering principles and mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, C++, Java).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous participation in robotics clubs, academic projects, or hackathons.
- Basic knowledge of CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Understanding of industrial control systems (PLCs) or embedded systems.
