Job Description

Are you looking for a physically demanding role that keeps you fit and active? EllisDon is seeking dedicated and strong individuals to join our team as Scaffolding Tube Carriers in Windsor, Ontario. This role is crucial to the efficiency and safety of our construction sites, involving the manual handling and transport of scaffolding components. Full training on site safety and scaffolding procedures will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently transport scaffolding tubes and other components across various parts of the construction site.
  • Load and unload scaffolding materials from delivery vehicles.
  • Assist scaffolding erection teams by moving materials to designated areas.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring materials are stored safely.
  • Adhere strictly to all site safety regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate effectively with the scaffolding team and other site personnel.
  • Perform other general labour duties as required.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional physical strength, stamina, and endurance.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout the workday.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Excellent awareness of safety protocols and a commitment to safe working practices.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a physically demanding role, such as construction, warehousing, or manual labor.
  • Basic understanding of construction site safety (e.g., WHMIS, Working at Heights certification).
  • Valid G driver's license with reliable transportation to the job site.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop new skills in the construction industry.
