Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and diligent School Kitchen Dishwasher to join our food services team in Mississauga. This part-time position is specifically for term time only, with daytime hours, perfect for individuals looking for work that aligns with the school calendar. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of all kitchen utensils, dishes, and work areas, contributing to a safe and efficient meal service for students and staff. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate dishwashing equipment efficiently and safely.
- Wash and sanitize dishes, cutlery, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils.
- Clean and maintain kitchen work areas, including floors, counters, and sinks.
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries as required.
- Properly dispose of waste and recycling materials.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation standards.
- Support the kitchen team in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Report any maintenance or safety concerns to the kitchen supervisor.
Required Skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment (even informal).
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Valid Food Handler Certificate (or willingness to obtain one upon hire).
