Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic team in Saint John, New Brunswick. This pivotal role involves designing, developing, and deploying robust applications across the full software development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of full-stack web applications using modern frameworks and technologies.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code for both front-end and back-end components.
- Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other engineers to define, design, and ship new features.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Implement and maintain robust unit and integration tests.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex issues across the application stack.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend and implement solutions.
Required Skills
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in full-stack web development.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar modern languages.
- Extensive experience with front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Strong back-end development skills with Node.js, Python, Java, or C# and related frameworks (e.g., Express, Spring Boot, Django, .NET Core).
- Demonstrated experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha, Cypress, Selenium).
- Prior experience with H1B or other skilled worker visa processes and understanding of related compliance.
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse and globally distributed team environment.
