Job Description

Norwich Wildlife Haven is seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation Intern to join our team. This entry-level internship offers an unparalleled opportunity for hands-on experience in animal care, rehabilitation, and wildlife conservation. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the daily feeding, cleaning, and general care of various wild animals under rehabilitation.
- Help with the monitoring of animal health and behavior, reporting any changes to senior staff.
- Support veterinary staff during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
- Maintain meticulous records of animal intake, progress, and medical treatments.
- Clean and sanitize enclosures, equipment, and facilities to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
- Participate in release preparation and post-release monitoring activities.
- Assist with grounds maintenance and general facility upkeep as needed.
- Engage with visitors and volunteers, sharing knowledge about wildlife care and conservation efforts.

Preferred Qualifications
- Enrollment or completion of coursework in zoology, biology, veterinary technology, environmental science, or a related field.
- Previous volunteer experience with animals (pets or wildlife) is a plus, but not required.
- Basic knowledge of local wildlife species and their natural habitats.
