Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and physically fit Shipping Dock Labourer to join our team in Caloundra. This is an immediate start opportunity for an individual who is reliable, a team player, and eager to learn. As a Shipping Dock Labourer, you will be primarily responsible for the efficient and safe loading and unloading of trucks, sorting freight, and maintaining a tidy and organised dock area. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent entry-level role for those looking to start a career in logistics.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently load and unload freight from trucks and trailers.
- Sort and organise incoming and outgoing shipments according to company procedures.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely (training provided).
- Verify accuracy of shipments against manifests and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment on the shipping dock.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as required.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects repeatedly (up to 25kg).
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Basic communication skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment (not essential, but a bonus).
- Valid forklift licence (LF class) or willingness to obtain one.
