Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and proactive Site Cleaner to join our team in Surfers Paradise. This is an immediate hire opportunity for ongoing work, perfect for individuals looking for stable employment. As a Site Cleaner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our premises are kept to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, contributing to a pleasant experience for everyone. Full training will be provided, so no prior experience is necessary – just a positive attitude and a commitment to quality work.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming floors
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, ensuring adequate supplies are maintained
- Empty waste bins and dispose of rubbish appropriately
- Dust and wipe down surfaces, including shelves, counters, and windows
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, reporting any needs for replenishment or repair
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards and procedures
- Respond promptly to cleaning emergencies or spills
- Ensure all common areas, staff rooms, and back-of-house areas are clean and tidy
Required Skills
- Reliability and punctuality
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift light to moderate equipment
- Basic understanding of cleaning methods and safety practices (training provided)
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a cleaning or facilities role is a plus but not essential
- Current Working with Children Check (if applicable to site)
- Valid driver's license
