Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our team in San Bernardino, CA. This role is critical for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our foundational cloud infrastructure services. You will be instrumental in automating operational tasks, implementing robust monitoring solutions, and driving incident resolution to maintain high availability for our global customer base. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and highly available infrastructure solutions.
- Develop and improve automation tools and scripts to reduce manual toil and improve operational efficiency.
- Implement comprehensive monitoring and alerting systems to proactively detect and resolve issues.
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical systems.
- Perform root cause analysis for production incidents and implement preventative measures.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure new features are designed for reliability and operational excellence.
- Manage and optimize cloud resources, ensuring cost efficiency and performance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in operational processes and tooling.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Go, Ruby, Bash).
- Strong understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems and networking fundamentals.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, etc.).
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Solid understanding of monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch).
- Demonstrated experience in incident response and post-mortem analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- AWS Certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect Associate/Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional).
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Knowledge of database systems (relational and NoSQL).
- Familiarity with security best practices in cloud environments.
- Experience working in a large-scale, distributed systems environment.
