Job Description

Are you looking to kickstart a rewarding career in security? G4S Australia is seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as Entry Level Site Security Marshalls for various sites across Cairns. This is an excellent opportunity for those with no prior experience in security, as full comprehensive training will be provided to equip you with all the necessary skills and certifications (including a Security Licence). We are specifically looking for candidates who are available for night work, playing a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of our client sites during overnight hours. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of assigned sites, both on foot and via vehicle, to deter and detect unauthorized activities.
• Monitor surveillance systems and alarm panels, responding to alerts and incidents as per protocol.
• Manage access control points, verifying credentials and logging visitors and vehicles.
• Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
• Respond to emergency situations such as medical incidents, fires, or security breaches, following established procedures.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues and site personnel to ensure a cohesive security presence.
• Report any suspicious activities, safety hazards, or policy violations to the appropriate supervisor.

• No prior security experience required – full training provided.

• Must be eligible to obtain an Australian Security Licence (assistance provided during onboarding).

• Ability to pass pre-employment checks including a criminal history check.

Preferred Qualifications

• Current First Aid and CPR certificate.
• Valid Australian Driver's Licence and reliable transport.
• Experience in customer service or a related field.
