Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Site Supervisor for immediate hire to oversee our high-rise residential projects in Brighton. This pivotal role involves managing all on-site activities from conception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in high-rise construction, excellent leadership skills, and a meticulous approach to site management. This is a full-time, on-site position offering significant career growth opportunities with one of the UK’s leading residential developers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise all day-to-day site operations for high-rise residential developments.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
- Oversee the quality of workmanship and materials, conducting regular inspections and quality checks.
- Coordinate and manage sub-contractors, suppliers, and site personnel effectively.
- Monitor project progress against schedule and budget, reporting deviations and implementing corrective actions.
- Implement and enforce site-specific safety plans and conduct regular risk assessments.
- Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and maintain accurate and up-to-date site records.
- Liaise effectively with project managers, engineers, architects, clients, and local authorities.
- Resolve any on-site issues, conflicts, or technical challenges promptly and efficiently.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Site Supervisor in high-rise residential construction.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in health and safety regulations, including CDM and HSE guidelines.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making capabilities under pressure.
- Valid CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme).
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- HNC/HND or Degree in Construction Management or a related field.
- First Aid at Work certification.
- Experience with construction management software (e.g., Asta Powerproject, MS Project).
- Strong network of contacts within the Brighton and East Sussex construction industry.
- Full UK driving license.
