Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Solar Farm Groundskeeper to join our operations team in Richland, WA. This is a full-time, permanent position focused on the maintenance and upkeep of our solar farm properties. The ideal candidate will enjoy working outdoors, be physically fit, and possess a strong work ethic. You will be responsible for ensuring the optimal condition of our solar sites, contributing directly to the efficiency and longevity of our renewable energy assets. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine groundskeeping duties including mowing, trimming, weeding, and brush clearing around solar panels and perimeter fencing.
- Operate and maintain various landscaping equipment such as mowers, weed trimmers, leaf blowers, and hand tools.
- Monitor site conditions and report any issues, damage, or concerns to the site supervisor.
- Assist with minor repairs and maintenance tasks on site infrastructure as directed.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and environmental regulations.
- Remove debris, litter, and other obstacles from the solar farm premises.
- Participate in seasonal site maintenance activities, including vegetation management specific to solar farm operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including tools and equipment.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform strenuous physical labor, often in varying weather conditions.
- Basic understanding of groundskeeping techniques and equipment operation (or willingness to learn).
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to site maintenance.
- Reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or agricultural work.
- Familiarity with operating light machinery (e.g., tractors, skid steers) is a plus.
- Knowledge of local flora and fauna, and basic pest control methods.
- High School Diploma or GED.
