Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and thorough Hospital Cleaner (Environmental Services Technician) to join our team. In this full-time role, you will be crucial in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation standards of our hospital facilities. Your work directly contributes to patient safety, infection control, and the overall positive experience of everyone who enters our doors. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine cleaning tasks, including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal in patient rooms, offices, public areas, and restrooms.
  • Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces, equipment, and medical furniture according to established protocols.
  • Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
  • Handle and dispose of medical waste and general waste in accordance with safety guidelines.
  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, ensuring proper use and storage.
  • Respond promptly to cleaning requests and emergencies.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety regulations, including those related to infection control.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and staff in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work cart and storage areas.

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
  • Physical stamina to perform duties that require standing, walking, bending, lifting, and pushing for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience in environmental services or cleaning, especially in a healthcare or hospitality setting.
