Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Sonographer to join our dynamic imaging team in Geraldton, Western Australia. This is a high-demand role offering the opportunity to make a significant impact on patient care in a vibrant regional community. You will perform a wide range of diagnostic ultrasound examinations, working collaboratively with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to deliver accurate and timely diagnostic services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound examinations including general, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and musculoskeletal scans.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal image quality and patient safety.
  • Accurately record and document findings, providing detailed preliminary reports to radiologists.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort and cooperation.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, professional standards, and hospital policies.
  • Participate in continuous professional development and training.

Required Skills

  • Accredited Sonography qualification.
  • Current registration with relevant professional bodies (e.g., ASAR).
  • Demonstrated experience across a broad range of ultrasound examinations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong commitment to patient-centered care.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a regional or remote healthcare setting.
  • Additional specializations or advanced certifications in specific ultrasound modalities.
  • Experience with specific EMR and PACS systems.
