Job Description
Join Riverbend Roofing Solutions as a Roofer’s Labourer and become an integral part of our dynamic team. This physically demanding role involves assisting our experienced roofers with various tasks on residential and commercial roofing projects. You will be responsible for preparing work sites, handling materials, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment. Full safety equipment will be provided to ensure your well-being on every job. Key Responsibilities
- Assist experienced roofers with the installation, repair, and maintenance of various roofing systems.
- Prepare work sites by setting up safety barriers, ladders, and scaffolding (under supervision).
- Load and unload roofing materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Cut, measure, and prepare roofing materials as directed.
- Clean and clear work areas of debris, ensuring a tidy and safe environment.
- Perform general labour tasks as required, including demolition and site preparation.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform strenuous tasks, lift heavy materials, and work at heights.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively within a team.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety principles.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Reliable transport to and from work sites.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a construction or labouring role (even if not roofing specific).
- Current Australian 'White Card' (Construction Induction Card).
- Valid Australian Driver’s License and own vehicle.
